BSF Frontrunner Raises over $3,100 for Brain Tumor Research
Watch BSF-supporter Kevin Currie discuss his recent marathon to raise funds for brain tumor research. Kevin became motivated to run his first-ever marathon following his wife’s diagnosis with a meningioma three years ago. Kevin had this to say on his donation website:
“We had never heard of a meningioma before, but this ordeal made us aware of how many people actually have brain tumors, and it's more than you think. The causes and risk factors for such tumors are poorly understood. They can strike anyone, child or adult, male or female. Diagnosis is often at a late stage where brain surgery is necessary, or the tumor may even be inoperable. The Brain Science Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to understanding and curing primary brain tumors through basic and clinical research support, advocacy, and patient education.”
