Funding Schedule & How to Apply
The Brain Science Foundation accepts grant applications from investigators annually, administering a call for proposals through the Institute of the Neurosciences at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. The BSF seeks to seed innovative and collaborative projects from a range of laboratory and clinical neuroscience investigators. Funding will typically be for two years at $50,000 to $75,000 per year.
Call for proposals are generally released in February and announced on our website. Applications are due mid-April.
Applications are reviewed and evaluated by the Foundation’s Scientific Advisory Committee, who will make recommendations to the BSF Board of Trustees based on total merit. Investigators of projects put forth by the Committee will be required to present their projects to the Board, who vote on awardees.
