The Meningioma Summit

The BSF sponsored the first International Meningioma Summit convened in the United States. On Oct. 13, 2005, Dr. Peter Black brought together neurosurgeons, basic science researchers and clinicians from around the world to present to each other on the topic of meningioma, the most common type of primary brain tumor. At the end of the session, the general consensus was that this multi-disciplinary convention was very productive and that the session should be repeated on a larger scale involving more scholars, doctors and patients.
The next international meeting for the meningioma community will take place on November 27-29, 2006, at the Mt. Fuji Highland Resort, Japan. We will post more information related to this meeting as soon as they become available. The Brain Science Foundation will be involved with the planning of the 2007 International Meningioma summit, which will be held once again in Boston.
