Tammy Gilson-Hodge
Manager of Marketing and Communications, BWH
Neurosurgery

Tammy’s dual role of driving marketing and communications initiatives for the BWH Department of Neurosurgery and the Brain Science Foundation, strategically positions her to identify opportunities for new, dynamic collaborations between the two institutions. Her experience in health care and life sciences is broad, including practice manager at public relations boutique, Greenough Communications, where she managed life sciences client accounts and business development, and at life sciences research company, Life Science Insights, an IDC subsidiary, where she developed and managed integrated marketing campaigns to support branding and acquisition programs and events. Tammy has considerable experience in the entire continuum of marketing, including strategic planning and business development. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s of science degree in Communications Management from Simmons College. Tammy’s personal experience with a benign tumor in her cervical spine fuels the passion she brings to her commitment to facilitate the BSF’s impact on the amazing neuroscientific progress happening at the BWH.
