BSF’s West Palm Beach Event Raises $10,000 for Brain Tumor Research

Hunt Slonem Makes Special Appearance

Guests at the Color for a Cause fundraiserA crowd of art enthusiasts turned out for the BSF’s second Color for a Cause fundraising event held on January 21, at DTR Modern Gallery’s Worth Avenue, West Palm Beach location. The BSF not only had the honor of bringing its cause to the Gallery’s exhibition, A Bird’s Eye View: The Paintings of Hunt Slonem, but also of having the much celebrated artist in attendance. The evening exposed guests to Hunt’s arresting paintings of vibrant butterflies and tropical birds and the BSF’s powerful message of the need for support of brain tumor research. The event raised nearly $10,000 in proceeds, all of which will be used to advance brain tumor research at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Businessmen conversing at the fundraiserThe BSF’s Color for a Cause is an effort to raise funds for brain tumor research by celebrating the discernment and sensitivity required in the successful outcomes of art and neurosurgery.
