The BSF seeks to fund innovative research projects related to brain tumors. Our approach is to provide seed funding for novel research ideas that will advance knowledge and clinical practice about the brain and brain tumors. Proposals are judged based on the following criteria:

Innovation in neuroscience as it relates to brain tumors

Future promise of the investigator

Likelihood of securing additional funding (e.g. NIH) following project completion

Likelihood of obtaining results and completing the project within grant funding timeframe

Innovation that is specific to the understanding of brain tumor behaviors, occurrence, and treatment

Consistency with BSF mission and strategic goals
